Junior IT Hardware & Helpdesk Technician (Part-Time)
YOUR ROLE
As a Junior IT Hardware & Helpdesk Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting the day-to-day IT operations across the studio. You’ll help keep our equipment running smoothly, ensuring that developers have the tools they need to do their best work.
This role suited to someone who’s looking to grow in a practical, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our IT team to handle incoming helpdesk issues, carry out repairs, and manage our internal hardware.

Please note that this is a temporary (3 month) part-time (2-3 days per week) position.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues across our studio.
- Source replacement parts and restore existing equipment to working order.
- Deliver fully functional hardware to users in a timely manner.
- Handle helpdesk tickets using a structured IT ticketing system.
- Set up and configure workstations, gaming PCs, and peripheral hardware.
- Tag and track IT assets, keeping inventory and documentation up to date.
- Support meeting room AV, test setups, and studio events as needed.
- Maintain order and efficiency in the server room and storage areas.
YOUR PROFILE
- 1–4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, ideally with a hardware focus.
- Comfortable diagnosing and repairing desktops, laptops, and PC components.
- Familiar with Windows environments; exposure to AD or Entra ID is a plus.
- Organised and detail-oriented, keeping track of parts, tasks, and tickets.
- Clear communicator with a helpful, service-oriented mindset.
- Able to work independently while escalating issues when appropriate.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, Freshdesk, etc.).
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g. routers, switches, cabling).
- Experience or knowledge of building custom gaming PCs.
- Exposure to studio environments or development hardware setups.
- Interest in or previous experience in the games industry.
