Who we are

PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions is an independent development studio based in Amsterdam, focused on creating massive sandbox worlds.

Our multi-disciplinary team is using an array of new and emerging technologies to push the envelope of what is possible with open worlds in gaming.

Our goal is to build deep, systemic playgrounds on a planetary scale, populated by thousands of players.

We believe that the longstanding dream of a massive, immersive world where players are free to do whatever they want is closer than ever before, and we believe that we can make it happen.

Working with us

  • Our studio is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our team come from all over the world and from different industries, whether that’s gaming, technology or academia.

    Most of our roles give you the option to join us in the Netherlands, or to be worked fully remotely within Europe! Just check the job description for the role you're applying to see what's available for your position. 

  • Enjoy the flexibility to work where it suits you. You're always welcome to join us in the studio, and everyone is invited to Amsterdam for a few days every 7 weeks for milestone celebrations!

  • If you’re relocating to The Netherlands to work with us from abroad, we aim to make your transition to living and working here as smooth as possible. This includes, but is not limited to, support from a relocation agency who can help you with work permits, housing, BSN applications and other official processes. 

  • We provide a contribution to your health insurance, pension and travel costs, as well as a work from home allowance - we got you covered!

  • Enjoy 25 days off, extra studio days off throughout the year including the Christmas period, and an extra day off for your birthday!

  • We always encourage our team to keep learning. Want to keep developing your skills by taking a course, doing some extra training, or picking up some books? The studio will cover up to €1.500 per year for you!
